The Golgotha Cross is drawn from one of the most solemn images of the Orthodox Christian tradition: Christ crucified at Golgotha, surrounded by the signs and inscriptions that proclaim His Passion, death, and victory over death.

A restrained cross marks the chest. The full Golgotha image occupies the back—not as decoration emptied of its meaning, but as a confession of Christ crucified and risen.

A note on sacred imagery:
Orthodox Christianity treats images of Christ and the Cross with reverence, not as disposable decoration. This garment should therefore be worn and cared for respectfully. Do not wear it in circumstances where the sacred image is likely to be deliberately mocked, defaced, or treated irreverently. When the garment eventually reaches the end of its usable life, we encourage respectful disposal rather than treating the sacred image as ordinary trash. If you are uncertain about wearing sacred imagery on clothing, follow the guidance of your priest or spiritual father.

A Length

 

Place the end of a measuring tape beside the collar at the top of the garment (high point shoulder). Pull the tape to the bottom of the item.

B Width

Place the end of a measuring tape at one side of the chest area and pull the tape across to the other side of the product.

C Sleeve length

Place the end of a measuring tape at the center back of the collar, then pull the tape along the top seam of the sleeve. When you get to the shoulder hold the tape in place at the shoulder and continue to pull down the sleeve until you reach the hem of the sleeve.
